With over twenty years of award-winning landscape and garden design experience, Andy has built a team of world-class designers and consultants who share his passion and expertise for creating outstanding and exceptional outdoor spaces.
Working together over the years, the team at Andy Stedman Design are adept at creating beautiful designs while meeting complex and challenging requirements – whether for a listed building and its grounds or a small urban space that demands a ‘wow’ factor.
Andy Stedman
Founder & Managing Director
Andy’s passion for landscaping, design, art and architecture began early. While still playing rugby competitively, he started his career at sixteen as a landscaping apprentice in Chichester and has been self-employed ever since. Over the past two decades, he has built a wide-ranging career across the industry, from swimming pool construction and commercial landscapes to high-end residential garden design.
His work has taken him around the world, including time spent in Australia, Europe and the UAE, before returning to the UK in 2013 to refine his design skills at the Oxford College of Garden Design. Since founding Andy Stedman Design, he has grown the studio into one of the UK’s leading and most forward-thinking garden design and landscaping practices.
Today, Andy leads the business with a focus on innovation, quality and client experience. He works closely with his senior team to drive the company forward, ensuring the design studio, landscaping division and showroom all maintain the high standards the brand is known for.
Tessa
Design Manager and Garden Designer
Tessa graduated with Distinction from the prestigious Inchbald School of Design and has been an integral part of our team for several years, now serving as Design Manager and Garden Designer. Specialising in contemporary garden design, naturalistic planting, and sustainable architecture, she has successfully designed and executed numerous outstanding projects varying in size complexity and location.
Tessa collaborates closely with our design team, managing schedule and the delivery of design our projects and client communication. Her dedication to exceptional design and customer service has made her an invaluable leader within the ASD team.
Mike
Project Manager
Mike bridges the gap between our design studio and the landscapers on site, ensuring each project is delivered seamlessly from concept to completion. With a background in garden design, construction, and mechanical engineering, he brings a practical, solutions-focused mindset to every build.
He manages the quoting process, material sourcing, and daily site progress, keeping things on track and up to spec. Calm under pressure and naturally detail-oriented, Mike is a safe pair of hands for even the most complex landscapes.
Laura
Landscape Architect and Garden Designer
With over 11 years in the landscape architecture and garden design field, Laura is a seasoned professional dedicated to crafting thoughtful and innovative landscapes. Holding both a creative degree and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the University of Greenwich, she brings a wealth of expertise that spans from intimate private gardens to expansive mixed-use commercial developments and public spaces.
Laura’s proficiency in hand-drawing and presentation, combined with her deep knowledge of planting and horticulture, allows her to create designs that not only meet client needs but also harmonize with the surrounding environment. Her extensive experience and comprehensive skill set make her an invaluable asset to our team, ensuring our clients receive designs that are both innovative and tailored to their needs.
Charlotte
Garden Designer
Charlotte is a dedicated garden designer driven by a deep passion for crafting beautiful and functional landscapes that create enduring memories. Motivated by her family’s tradition of nurturing stunning outdoor spaces, she transitioned into garden design following a successful career in client relations and account management. Charlotte is currently honing her skills with an Open Learning Garden Design Diploma from KLC, having achieved excellent grades halfway through the course.
Her recent experience includes a year-long collaboration with the Head Gardener at Denmans Gardens, an award-winning Grade II listed garden, where she gained invaluable insights into garden design and horticulture. Charlotte has also worked extensively with Nyton House, an independent care home, where she developed two dementia gardens, demonstrating her ability to cater to specific client needs with empathy and expertise.
With a diverse background in client relations and a burgeoning passion for garden design, Charlotte is a valuable addition to our team. She is enthusiastic about continuing to learn and grow within the industry, and her collaborative spirit and dedication are sure to contribute to our ongoing success.
Ollie
Landscaping Foreman
Ollie heads up our in-house landscaping team, working closely with the project manager and designers to bring each garden to life exactly as envisioned. With more than ten years’ experience in high-end residential landscaping, he has a deep understanding of both the practical and aesthetic demands of complex outdoor builds.
From groundwork and structural elements through to the final planting and finishing touches, Ollie oversees the day-to-day progress on site and ensures everything is delivered to the highest standard. He’s calm under pressure, solutions focused, and takes real pride in the craft of great landscaping.
Dave
Sales Director
With over a decade of extensive global sales experience, David stands as the driving force behind the success of our sales team.
Possessing a keen understanding of market trends and a natural ability to identify opportunities, David leads our sales team with an emphasis on innovation and adaptability. His exceptional skill in building and nurturing client relationships has been fundamental to our success, establishing long-term partnerships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
As Sales Director, David is committed to elevating our sales team to new heights. He envisions expanding our presence with the opening of additional studios both in the UK and internationally, as well as growing the commercial design sector of our business.
Central to David’s approach is a dedication to fostering a positive client journey from start to finish and promoting a community-focused culture. David and his team will be your first point of contact when reaching out to us, so be ready with all your questions and concerns!
Jack
3D Visualiser
Jack is one of our talented 3D visualisers. Jack provides a range of high-quality visuals for the teams’ concept designs, which includes a selection of 3D renders, illustrated lighting schemes and animated fly-throughs.
Jack has a degree in and years of experience in product design which over laps heavily with the garden design process. Jack is always looking to evolve and try out new technologies, with the key goal being to immediately engage and excite our clients through clear and inspiring visuals.
You’ll see many of Jacks impressive 3Ds during the concept design stage to help you visualise your dream garden.
Izabella
Landscape Architect
Based in Budapest, Hungary, Izabella joins us as an Assistant Landscape Architect. She supports our team with complex projects, ensuring efficient delivery and attention to detail. With a passion for historical landscapes and sustainable community design, she brings a unique perspective and innovative approach.
Izabella has contributed to notable projects, including the design of a memorial garden for Hungarian author Geza Ottlik, the urban park in Káposztásmegyer, and the RHS Bridgewater garden. Her work focuses on sustainable practices and community engagement. With a solid foundation in landscape architecture and a wealth of accolades, including the Pro Landscaper 30 Under 30 2019 award, she is an established talent in the landscape design industry.
Supporting our in-house team from Hungary, Izabella’s dedication to meaningful and sustainable landscapes, combined with her technical skills, makes her a valuable asset to our team.
John
Landscape and Garden Designer
John is a trained landscape architect with over 10 years of experience in garden design projects across the UK, Middle East, and North America. He excels in all aspects of the design process, from project inception to compiling comprehensive construction documentation for projects of varying scales and complexity.
With a belief in the importance of appreciating the broader context while also focusing on the smallest details, John ensures that every design is on-brief, practical, and beautiful. His expertise and attention to detail make him a valuable asset to our team.
Chantel
Landscape Architect and Garden Designer
Chantel is a Landscape Architect with a strong understanding of how to create outdoor spaces that are both functional and beautiful. Her approach brings together structure, material choices, planting and the client’s wider vision, helping shape gardens that feel considered from the first concept through to the finished space.
At Andy Stedman Design, Chantel adds a thoughtful architectural perspective to the team. She is passionate about creating gardens as true extensions of the home, with spaces that can be used, enjoyed and lived in throughout the year.

Garden and Landscape Designer
Mark brings an architectural eye and a strong sense of visual storytelling to garden and landscape design. His background spans architecture, visualisation, photography and landscape design, giving him a thoughtful understanding of how people experience space, structure, planting and atmosphere.
At Andy Stedman Design, Mark helps develop gardens that feel considered, practical and beautifully connected to the home. His design approach combines creativity with spatial awareness, helping turn ideas into outdoor spaces that feel balanced, personal and carefully resolved.
Emily
Garden Designer
Emily is a Garden Designer with a strong focus on plant-led spaces that feel personal, inviting and full of life. She brings a collaborative and down-to-earth approach to the design process, helping clients imagine gardens with colour, structure and lasting interest.
At Andy Stedman Design, Emily supports the creation of outdoor spaces that feel carefully planned and connected to the people who will use them. Her eye for planting and atmosphere helps bring softness, character and detail to each garden design.
Vince
Videographer and Editor
Vince captures the people, projects and finished gardens that bring Andy Stedman Design’s work to life on screen. His role covers videography, editing and digital storytelling, helping share the quality, care and detail behind each garden transformation.
With experience across social media content, drone footage, post-production and visual strategy, Vince helps the brand communicate in a clear and engaging way. His work supports the team’s online presence and helps clients see the process, personality and craftsmanship behind the finished gardens.
Kate
Studio and Showroom Assistant
Kate supports the smooth running of the studio and showroom, helping create a welcoming, organised and professional first impression for clients. With a background that spans business growth, client-facing management and brand ambassador work, she brings a strong understanding of service, presentation and relationship-building to the team.
Her role helps connect the client experience with the busy work happening behind the scenes. Whether supporting the showroom, helping prepare for appointments or keeping day-to-day details organised, Kate brings a calm, polished and people-focused approach that helps clients feel looked after from the start.
Jemima
Client Onboarding Specialist
Jemima helps new clients take their first steps with Andy Stedman Design, making the onboarding process feel clear, organised and reassuring. Her role is about helping people feel listened to, informed and confident before their project moves into the design process.
With a background in client-facing, community and onboarding roles, Jemima brings warmth, structure and excellent communication to the early stages of each relationship. She helps turn initial enquiries into a smooth and positive client experience, making sure the right information is gathered and every new project starts well.

Garden and Landscape Designer
Helen brings a highly experienced, plant-led approach to garden and landscape design. Her work is shaped by a deep understanding of structure, seasonal interest and the way gardens connect with their wider setting, helping create outdoor spaces that feel elegant, natural and built to last.

Ash
Skilled Landscaping Labourer
Ash is part of the landscaping team, supporting the practical work that turns design plans into finished gardens. His role calls for reliability, physical skill and close attention to detail on site, whether helping with preparation, installation or the finishing stages of a project.
As a Skilled Landscaping Labourer, Ash helps the team keep projects moving and contributes to the high standard of workmanship behind each build. His work is an important part of creating outdoor spaces that feel carefully built, long-lasting and ready for clients to enjoy.
Graham
Landscaping Foreman and Team Leader
Graham helps lead the landscaping team on site, bringing a hands-on approach to project delivery and a strong focus on workmanship. His background in landscaping gives him the practical understanding needed to organise site work, support the team and maintain standards throughout each stage of a project.
As a foreman and team leader, Graham plays a central role in turning carefully developed designs into finished gardens with structure, detail and a strong sense of craftsmanship. His leadership helps keep projects moving smoothly while supporting the quality expected from Andy Stedman Design.
Luke
Skilled Landscaping Labourer and Tree Surgeon
Luke brings practical landscaping skill and tree-surgery knowledge to the project delivery team. His role supports the hands-on work needed to shape, build and refine outdoor spaces, from site preparation through to the careful details that complete a garden.
With experience suited to both landscaping and tree work, Luke helps the team respond to the practical realities of each site. His contribution supports safe, well-managed and carefully finished gardens, especially where existing trees, clearance or structural outdoor work form part of the project.
Matt
Experienced Landscaper
Matt is an Experienced Landscaper who supports the construction and finishing of bespoke garden projects. His role is focused on the practical work that turns design ideas into real outdoor spaces, combining hands-on skill with care, consistency and attention to detail.
As part of the landscaping team, Matt helps deliver the quality and durability clients expect from a professionally built garden. His contribution supports each stage of the build, from the core construction work through to the finishing touches that make a space feel complete.
Lucas
Experienced Landscaper
Lucas brings valuable landscaping experience to the Andy Stedman Design team, supporting the delivery of high-quality garden builds on site. His work helps ensure that each project is carried out with practical skill, steady progress and attention to the details that matter.
Working closely with the wider landscaping team, Lucas contributes to the day-to-day progress and finish of each garden. His experience helps the team create outdoor spaces that feel well built, carefully considered and ready for clients to enjoy.
Jake
Junior Landscaper and Labourer
Jake supports the landscaping team as a Junior Landscaper and Labourer, helping with the practical site work that brings garden projects together. His role gives him hands-on experience across the different stages of a build, from preparation and support tasks through to the finishing details.
Working alongside experienced landscapers, Jake is developing his skills while contributing to the smooth running of projects on site. His support helps the team maintain momentum and deliver gardens with care, quality and attention to detail.
